A view exchange meeting on law and order was held in Kasba of Brahmanbaria yesterday morning.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Brahmanbaria Md Didarul Alam was present as the chief guest at the view exchange meeting held at Kasba Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
In his speech, dc Didarul Alam warned of stern action against those who cut hills in the dark of night. He urging the police force to take maximum measures against drug smuggling. Besides, he assured to take necessary steps to construct the boundary of Kasba Press Club after discussion with the district council.
Kasba Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Shahriar Mukhtar presided over the meeting while Kasba Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Golam Sarwar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Hajera Begum, Kasba Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Jahirul Haque Kabir and Upazila Engineer Kazi Mahmudullah were present as special guests.
Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Tarek Mahmud, Upazila Statistics Officer Md Iqbal Hossain, Upazila Health Complex Residential Health Officer Dr Md Ali Ashraf, among others, spoke on the occasion.
On the occasion, the upazila administration provided financial assistance to five families affected by the recent floods caused by the onrush of water from the upstream and a sewing machine to another person.
